TREVERK (14)

Fetsund Lenser, Fetsund
10.07-01.08.2021
Curated by Mari Meen Halsøy. Produced by Akershus Kunstsenter. Initiated by Lillestrøm kommune

Site-specific sound installation based on audio recordings of minuscule movements in trees from the area around Fetsund Lenser, Norway’s only preserved timber-sorting facility. The installation was shown inside one of the floating huts on the river Glomma that runs through the facility. Signals from the river that the hut floats on controls the sound. Surface transducers have been attached to the installations wood, allowing the sound to be affected by the wood in real time, and making the tree an integral part of the installations speaker.
