The work is based on recordings from several abandoned wasp nests.
The recordings were made using small contact microphones attached to the nests in their original locations. These microphones captured the ambient sounds as small vibrations on the nests’ surfaces. Now, the contact microphones remain in the same positions but function as small speakers.
