Å VERGE SEG OG SINE
Group show, Ringsveen, Lillehammer
10.07-01.08.2021
Site-specific sound installation based on audio recordings of minuscule movements in trees from Ringsveen. Changes in the electrical conductivity in the tree used in the work controls the sound. Surface transducers have been attached to the installations tree, allowing the sound to be affected by the wood in real time, and making the tree an integral part of the installations speaker.
(This particular tree has been filled with concrete as a result of an experiment by painter Jakob Weidemann who used to own the property).
Å VERGE SEG OG SINE was curated and initiated by Jørn Tore Egseth.
